Linux vs Windows

In this article, I will look at what is better: Linux or Windows? I will compare these systems in the following aspects: Security, Customization, Gaming, Software Support, Updates, Programming, and User Interface. For each aspect, Linux or Windows can earn one point, and at the end of the article, the system with the most points wins.Comparison is mainly towarded for desktop and little bit for servers.

Security

The reason why Linux leads the monopoly in servers is that it has good security and doesn't need antivirus software like Windows, so Linux gets the first point.

Customization

Windows is customizable, but not as much as Linux. In Linux, you can change any style, so another point goes to Linux.

Gaming

In this aspect, the leader is Windows. Even though you can run most Windows games on Linux, Windows still dominates the gaming market, so Windows gets the points here.

Software Support

In this case, Windows also leads the market, so the next point goes to Windows.

Updates

There is a tough decision here. On Linux, you have more updates at one time, but Windows has fewer updates yearly, meaning that Linux is more secure. Another issue with Windows Updates is that they download automatically, which can cause problems if the user is doing something intensive on the network speed. Therefore, Linux gets the point in this aspect.

Programming

On both systems, you can write apps, but Linux has better tools for programmers. Additionally, OS development is easier to do on Linux because of the available tools. So this point goes to Linux.

User Interface

In this case, Windows has a more beginner-friendly control of the desktop, so this point goes to Windows.

Final decision

Linux has 4 points,Windows has 3 points. The winner is Linux.
